Eyes of the Soul Portraits are my unique way of capturing the essence of my subjects soul. These portraits are slightly surreal, with the body painted in a long, slender style. I also put strong emphasis on the eyes, enlarging them as a way to express one's inner beauty. These portraits feature rich detail in the subject's hair and clothing, and in the background.
Portraits can be created as small as a 12" X 24" or up to 18" X 36". Subjects can be featured from the head to shoulders or all the way down to the waist depending on the size of the canvas.
Portraits may also feature two or more people and they can be intertwined with some background on a 24" X 30" canvas or up to a 24" X 36" canvas.
Traditional Portraits can also be created as true-to-life with one or more people.
Prices vary based on complexity of the work and are subject to the discretion of the artist. One half of the fee is due as a non-refundable deposit prior to painting. Full payment is expected up completion of the portrait.
Paintings are created from photographs so no sitting time is required unless photos are not available. If you wish to have digital photos taken by the artist, the sitting fee is $50 and you get to keep five of the 5 X 7 proofs.
Each portrait includes one touch up. Approximate time for completion of a portrait is 4-6 weeks, depending on the artist's workload.
Framing is separate. Handmade frames by myself can be specially created for each painting.
